Learning Vicariously (Pt.2)
I came across
Aja Monet
randomly about four years ago at a poetry reading on a Monday night in New York City. She was an undergrad student at Sarah Lawrence at the time.
Since then she's
written a book
, raised money for hurricane relief in Haiti, received an MFA,
put out an album
, moved to Paris, and
collaborated with Saul Williams in a second book of poetry
. Among other things.
I'm not sure how I missed this video but I am so glad I found it. Aja is an experience, and she truly inspires me to be the change.
